BROOKS-HENKEL CEMETERY
Lowndes Co., Miss.

Location: On old Crawford--Starkville road about 2 miles west of Crawford and just east of the Oktibbeha-Lowndes county line. It is about three quarters of a mile north of the road at the end of a farm road that gives every evidence of being a private road.

Note: This cemetery is in a cedar tree grove. It is enclosed by an iron fence and has not been very well maintained, but is still in reasonably good condition.

"Nicajah, Allen & Terrell Brooks of Warren Co., Ga. came to Miss.

about 1830. Their father, Jacob Brooks, was a soldier in the Rev.

War. 1960."
