This is a Cemetery on the old plantation grounds just north of Highway 50 on Old Country Road, on a gravel road leading to two newer trailers.  Some of the gravestones are upright and in good condition within a forested enclosure in the middle of the field.  Many of the stones are not cared for and covered in kudzu vines.  There are four sepulchers and one brick-enclosed tomb with no writing on them.  There is evidence of at least one burial within the past fifty years—metal funeral home marker.  Chase’s cemetery survey of the 1970s had more listings—presumably these stones have fallen and are unnoticeable under the vines and other vegetation or have been removed.

Surveyed by Russell D. James 25 October 2003. Re-surveyed by Russell D. James and Mike Lowery on 11 November 2003 and donated to the Lowndes County Genealogy website at ALL RIGHTS RESERVED
