UNION HOPEWELL MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH CEMETERY

This African American cemetery is located approximately 0.5 miles south of Plum Nellie Road between two low-lying swamp areas.  The cemetery is on a hill at this point.  The cemetery is only accessible by foot.  This is the “Tolliver Cemetery” found on many maps and in Rolph Chase’s book.

Surveyed by Russell D. James and Mike Lowery on 27 December 2003, and donated to the Lowndes, Miss. Genealogy website at http://lowndes.msghn.org. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
